Lakeside Hospice is proud to be locally owned and managed, and we are devoted to helping our patients and their loved ones. We have each been through hospice with a close family member and bring that personal experience and perspective to each patient and family under our care.


Valerie Curlee, R.N., B.S., M.Ed

Director of Nursing, Case Management

Valerie is a dedicated hospice nursing professional with 10 years experience, both as a DON and providing direct patient care. She was the first nurse in Louisiana to be recognized by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization for receiving their Level1 Designation in the Hospice Manager Development Program.

Vicki Burns

Community Education Representative

Vicki brings more than 20 years of management expertise to the team; most recently as Director of Programs and Communications for a large nonprofit foundation. Her key management focus has been in the healthcare arena - working on major projects to improve medical and pharmaceutical access for the underserved.

Diane Luminais, B.S., M.Ed.

Office Manager/Volunteer Coordinator

Diane is an experienced hospice office manager. She was an educator for 21 years, and has worked alongside her husband to build one of our area's most respected plumbing businesses.
